Summer Farm Wedding in Grey County

I first met Niamh & Andrew 4ish years ago at my favourite place in the world - a week long hippie gathering north of Toronto. I was completely inspired by their creativity and contributions to the space, like how they designed dozens of crystals that lit up the pathways at night to get to different musical stages. So inspired in fact that I wanted to photograph them doing their thing - and it pretty much ended up being their engagement photos for all intents and purposes haha. Check them out here.

Fast forward to this year and these two got hitched in the most glorious way possible - on their farm in Grey County that they spent fixing all summer long. What I loved most about their wedding was how much TLC they put into every single part of their day. It was an incredible reflection of who they are - creative, driven with a DIY attitude and deeply connected to nature. From Niamh doing her own makeup and her friend styling her hair, to all of the food that was prepared by Andrew’s brother (who just so happens to be a chef!), the yurt they got married on they built themselves and the fact that they spent the entire year preserving jam and handing jars out as party favours (I can honestly say they are the best jams I’ve ever tasted in my life). These seemingly small details took time and effort to make happen yet it really made the whole day friggen’ perfect. I also have to mention that after their ceremony we spent time hiking around their property to take portraits of them and during our hike I saw the most picturesque group of trees lined up perfectly. I gasped and they casually mentioned that they worked all summer on clearing out the area because they knew I would love it… Whaaaaat?!

I’m beyond humbled by these two and their big hearts. Thanks Niamh and Andrew for joining forces with me and letting me document your amazingly intimate and magical wedding <3
