John Dunn Bridge engagement session in New Mexico

Taos, New Mexico is one of the most incredible locations I’ve ever been to and I feel so lucky to have discovered it thanks to Aviva and Jay. I flew there for their wedding and met up with them at John Dunn Bridge a few days earlier to shoot their engagement session. As I was driving down switchbacks on a long winding dirt road to get to John Dunn bridge I felt like I was stepping into a portal into another world. It was pure magic. You’ll lose your cell signal before even getting there FYI but somehow that doesn’t even matter because you’ll feel more connected, more tuned in… more present. You can hike for 20 minutes and find yourself at a popular hot springs, or if you’re feeling adventurous you can hike through quite difficult terrain to get to another hot springs where chances are you’ll be the only one there. There’s so much to see at this part of the Rio Grande gorge - petroglyphs, caves, fishing, I could spend all day there. This place, and Taos in general really holds a special place in my heart, so much so that I keep going back. I’ve been to Taos three times this year and I’m not planning on stopping anytime soon. Enjoy this glimpse into one of my favourite spots in one of my favourite places with two of my favourite people :)
